EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After completing this activity, participants will be better able to:
Describe the mechanisms for development of resistance during treatment of CHB
Discuss methods for monitoring and detecting development of resistance
Compare resistance profiles of current and novel agents for the treatment of CHB
Articulate the clinical consequences of resistance and develop strategies for managing patients with drug-resistant HBV

TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians and physician assistants involved in the care of patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB).
